When is the best time for a newborn photography session take place?
I’d usually recommend your newborn session take place between 5-21 days old. Newborns are usually a lot less alert and more sleepy during this time. This makes it a lot easier for me to comfortably get them into those cute little curly poses.
Can I have a newborn session if my baby is past 3 weeks?
Of course, I can do newborn sessions up to roughly 6-8 weeks, however by this age theyre a lot less sleepy and much more alert so I may not be able to get them into those curled up poses that i can during those first few weeks. That being said i’ll always try first and if not I have lots of wraps and props to use.
I allow between 2-4 hours for a newborn session. I go with the flow of baby, allowing plenty of time for feeding and changes if needed.
How long will my session last?
Of course, I always encourage siblings get involved. I like to make it special for them too, because they’re just as much a part of the day. Family & Sibling photos are done at no extra cost.
Can my other children be involved?
I aim to have photos edited and back you you within 14 working days. I’ll give you a message when they’re done and send you your own private gallery for you to view your images.
When do we get to see our photos?
I recommend booking your session as early as your 20 weeks scan. This will hold your due date in my diary and then when baby arrives i’ll book you in a definite date/time for you to come to your session. I can take last minute bookings however I cant always guarantee i’ll have space and i hate turning people away.
